雲と霞という文様の意味

層をなす雲は壮錦で最も静かな音域です。澄んだ心と、穏やかに訪れる変化のための文様。近い色調で織られるため、光が動いたときにだけ柄が現れます。

作り方

錦の面を先に織り、裁断・縁かがりのうえ革のボディへ手作業で組み上げます。文様の位置はプリントの見当ではなく、一点ごとに決められます。

ほぼトーン・オン・トーン。柄ではなく質感を求めるときの選択です。

お手入れ

錦は乾いた柔らかい布で拭き、革には年に二度、無色のクリームを。長時間の直射日光は避けてください。草木染めの糸は革よりずっと早く退色します。
