Zhuang weavers use it to wish for a harvest that keeps coming and a household that stays whole, and its regularity makes it one of the hardest motifs to weave evenly by hand.
A narrow brocade band is gathered by hand over an elastic core and closed with a hidden seam, so the pleats sit unevenly on purpose.

Hand wash cool with a mild detergent, reshape while damp and dry flat away from heat. Do not wring the brocade band — the elastic core is sewn in.
