Making them is itself a listed piece of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi, and each one is knotted and filled entirely by hand.
The pendant is filled and knotted by hand before the cord is measured and finished.
Traditionally worn at the waist or hung by a door; today most often clipped to a bag.
Spot clean the brocade pendant and keep the cord dry. Remove the piece before applying perfume so the woven face does not absorb it.
